  1. I personally heard good things about dr Katsis but when I met him,,I didn't really like him so I went with dr varnell.
  2. Does anyone know if it is ok to take these post VSG? I will be 4 weeks out tomorrow and I feel like I am getting sick, would normally take NyQuil but wasn't sure about it.
  3. I went through the program at Bailey. I had a 6-month med supervised diet requirement. I think they have a very good program that encompasses the diet, exercise, and mental aspects of losing weight. I loved Dr. Wood(s), the psychologist. If you have an appt with Dr Kirk, be prepared to wait, I usually had to wait between 45 minutes to an hour or more for my appt. that was very frustrating. Dr Varnell was my surgeon and I highly recommend him. The hospital was very nice as well.
  4. I just heard about a week 3 stall on weight loss, is that true? I have been at the same weight for about 10 days and am just wondering.

  6. Hey, did you ask your surgeon about Advil?? Mine said absolutely no ibuprofen as it is too hard on the stomach and can cause ulcers.

  10. Good luck! Praying that all goes well, recovery is speedy and you're up walking soon!
  11. Just because you had an extra tool ( WLS) doesn't mean you didn't work your butt off to get to where you are!! You look fabulous and be proud of the fact you were blessed to have the opportunity to have WLS.

  14. Mrsgina that sounds exactly like what my mom said to me...."if you lose 20 lbs on the liquid diet, maybe you won't need the surgery"... So frustrating! Really 20 lbs what about the other 70 I need to lose after that, do you think I can stay on a liquid diet forever?!?! Thank God my husband supports me.

  18. My surgery date is 12/3/12, I wanted to have it on 12/11 because that is the day after my 39th bday. My manager is giving me such a hassle about the time off and I have been really stressed out about it. I started my 2-week pre-op liquid diet on Monday, last night and today have been really hard. Thankfully my family did Thanksgiving dinner on 11/10 when all my family could be there. I am very excited and extremely nervous which sounds like a common theme on here... Glad to have found this support site! Good luck December sleevers!!
