Yup, totally did!

DH and I went to Texas de Brazil the Saturday night before my Monday surgery. Yummy!!!!

Ummmm heck yea!!! My surgeon actually encouraged it. One week prior to surgery I ate a nice steak and mac n cheese from J. Alexanders. The night before my actual surgery I had my favorite pizza. Other than that I really stuck to my diet b/c I found as the 6 months went on that I really liked healthier foods. The diet was what really forced me to try some new things.

I didn't have to do a pre-op diet...

Ahh texas de brazil love that! I didnt I was at the hotel at the club floor had some cheese and nuts! Was planning to go for sushi but didnt want to go outside lol. I only had to do a preop for 3 days though and it was hard clear liquids while I was in San Franisco! Not easy

Lucky duck! It was my employer's requirement for insurance to cover it. I'm glad I had to do it, it gave me 6 months to make sure this was what I really wanted to do, and introduced me to a lot of new (healthy!) foods that I now love. It also helped me drop some weight prior to surgery. I have heard a lot of people not only had to do a diet, but had to do LIQUID diets before!! I would've died lol

I am!

Nothing too serious, but just a couple of favorites:

Last night I had grimaldis (favorite pizza) tomorrow for lunch I am having sushi and a COKE (lol) - i decided that one after a thread popped up about someone wanting "a soda so bad they're gonna scream" and then New Year's Eve with friends tomorrow night. I start pre-op on Jan. 1st (10 days)

Wish me luck!

I had a one week pre op diet and the night before i started it I had pizza. I hadn't had this pizza in 6 years. It was awesome, but it was not a food funeral. I'm loving the fact its coming off :o)

I spent a week at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico and started my pre-op 2 days later. Let's just say I wasn't the poster child for restraint while there, lol. I was going out with a bang!

I had an enourmous brownie the night before I started the liquid diet.

My last meals before my preop diet was thanksgiving weekend, so I ate a lot of good junk food before I had to eat healthy, not one day but the whole 4 day weekend LOL... Desserts, pizza, mashed potatoes, stuffing and Chinese food! I was soo bad! But glad I got it out of my system lol

Hooters wings with fries and 2 large Dos XX's...Loved it, damn I loved it.

Yum. We love Texas del Brazil. Well used too ;-). Mmmm bacon wrapped filet.

My last meal was at red lobster ;-)

I had like 10 last meals, but the best was the Christmas dinner (rice, chicken, potato salad, lasagna, pork, and turkey.) red lobster platter, and tres leche cake. 4 days post op and just missing solid food at this point.
