Jimbo, your actual, first ever appointment with the surgeon?

My first appointment withy doctor is tomorrow. I went to the seminar 2 weeks ago and tomorrow is my appointment. I'm super excited! Can't wait to start this journey.

It seems like forever but seriously, before you know it youre approved. Its crazy. I think the steps are going to be totally worth it

Goodness, definitely time to get this party started then! Let us know how it goes.

i'm headed in for my first appointment tomorrow. most of the insurance is already worked out as i found out i have amazing coverage with pretty liberal bariatric care requirements.

i'm still not 100% decided on the surgery, but tomorrow will go a long way toward my decision. good luck!

Good luck let me know how your app went =) and what they told u

my first appt Monday!!!! been to the seminars, already saw my PCP for documentation, have my EGD this week, NUT appt Jan 3rd, and psych consult in early january. when i called the surgeons office for appt, i was ready to MOVE and they were quite helpful to comply! After the surgeon, pretty much everything is in place, i just need to be patient and wait for all documentation to get to them, and then they submit for approval. I'm ready for this!!!! with my insurance, i've been told that it's coming back VERY fast so surgery likely about 3 months after first appt. WHOOOO HOOOOOO

Ok so I'm back home from my first appointment! Im super excited! My doctor told me I need to see a nutritionist psychologist my pcp for a letter and a upper gi!

After this they will submit and I can get operated by the end of January!

Consultation 12-12-12

Nutritionist 12-19-12

Psychologist 12-19-12

Upper GI - 12-24-12

And next week sometime for my pcp for the letter
