Hormone Changes Increased Periods?

I am only 7 days post-op. Pre-surgery I often skipped periods. I had my period just a week before surgery. I dropped 23 lbs. my first week & got my period today. Have you found since surgery that your period cycles are different? Do you also find that you are a little more "hormonal" than you were before surgery. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure why but I had this happen to me too. I have PCOS which causes my periods to be abnormal. Wouldn't you know I hadn't had my period since August and Yesterday I started. Which was 4 days post op. I know when I had lost weight in the past it made me more regular.

With PCOS, weight loss helps to regulate your hormones. 10% weight loss can make this happen. This makes it easier to become pregnant because we are finally ovulating.

My periods are finally regular since surgery. But I had just stopped right before surgery and then started again 2 or 3 days after surgery. The doctor said it was probably form the blood thinners.
