Funny Smelling Urine?

Since the day of surgery I have been having some weird smelling urine. I noticed it right when I went to the bathroom after surgery. I am more than a week post op and the smell is still there.. anyone else experience this?

Could be urinary tract infection. Simple test - better get checked just to be sure.

Get your urine checked, like the other poster said. If all is good, then it's probably your body eliminating chemicals that were given to you at the hospital. Anything from antibiotics to vitamins can make urine smell, esp if you aren't drinking enough to dilute the smell.

I was dehydrated when mine smelled and it also smell when in ketosis

Oh yeah! Ketosis! I forgot about that one! Good catch! ;-)

Yep ketosis and it's a toss up as to whether it's actually you urine that funny smelling or your nose that's smelling funny. Taste gets effected too, so expect things to taste bad shortly.

For sure me too!!! Nasty, I'm 4 weeks out and still have smelly urine...I didn't think I was still in Ketosis, but maybe I am, I have no infections, and everything else is good, but I NO WAY get 64 oz of water in a day...I'll be lucky to get 16oz...daily,..water seems to gag me now, when before it never did...!!! struggling there for sure...
