Thank you! :) I'm hoping so too. The sooner I have my surgery and lose this weight, the sooner I will become a mom!

How exciting!! That is the same reason I am having the surgery (other than the obvious) i want to get healthy so my Hubby and I can start our family :) good luck, keep us posted!!

Thanks, you as well! :) I have PCOS and we have been trying for two years so I decided its time for me to change something :)

I'm currently waiting for my insurance to authorize my surgery. Then I'll know my December date. Can't wait :)

Awesome missmemymelissa! I am sure you are excited as we are too! Did you have a lengthy process meeting with dietitians, etc. to get to this point? Keep us updated when you get word of approval and select your date!

Sent to insurance a week ago, hoping for December date!! :)

Hey Nena. I'm December 10th. Attended my preop seminar tonight. I'm starting to get excited!

Dec. 10 Is right around the corner :) What's the pre-op seminar about?

Mine was sent to insurance (Cigna) Nov 2nd and my surgeon's office called yesterday and scheduled my date because they received approval!! I am sch Dec 10th with Dr Avara in Biloxi, MS. Very nervous but glad to have the date so I can make myself get ready! Still trying to learn to not drink with meal (will be easier after surgery because hernia will be gone). Have other things I need to work on but at least know my timeframe now!!

Mrs D, yes it was quite a lengthy process. We have a program in my hometown called healthy steps. I had a 6 month program. I saw an exercise physiologist, dietician, nutritionist, as well as having to lose my pre surgery weight loss goal. I also needed a psych eval to assure I was "sane enough to consent to surgery" It has Ben a lengthy process so far.

I was told my insurance took typically 3 weeks to approve or deny but they only took 7days each time. (I got denied 3 times for little stuff before I finally got approved)

Also every hospital is different. I got approved last week but the soonest surgery date is Jan 7. But I've seen other people at different hospitals get scheduled within a few weeks and others not getting scheduled til March.

Hey all...newbie here too. My dates is Dec 5th...woo hoo. My insurance, United Heatlh Care took 2 days to approve ( I thought it was 7 but I was wrong ). Already did the Cardio stuff, NUT and Psych Eval....My 1st consult visit was 10/10/12, so this is moving right along. I PRAY the procedure, recovery and weight loss is just as easy. I would love to keep up with all the Dec peeps to support and guide each other along...send a friend request if interested as well. XOXOXO

Had my NuT appt today. They are going to submit to insurance Monday so hopefully will here something soon :) Bad news: Sleep study place called today and told me I do have sleep apnea. Doing another study tonight with the breathing machine. We shall see how it goes. I started this process Oct.18.12
