I'm from Louisiana too. I am from a little town an hour North of Baton Rouge. I am using Andrew Hargroder my date is December 3rd. I have a little less than two weeks away. I wish you all the luck in the world on your surgery.

It is an emotional roller coaster. The closer it gets the more I question. I know in the long run its the right thing for me.

When i finally made my mind up to have the surgery it took me a year to save the money. So I guess you can say a year. You?

What is the benefit of doing so? I have been on here for a couple of weeks just reading. I don't really have friends that have had this operation. I sort of feel alone:( This site has been a true blessing for me! I have a very supportive family, but they don't really know what I'm going through. I'm having my surgery December 3rd!!! I love it when I hear other people having surgery around that date. So ready for this new journey!!!

If you are self pay how much did you have to pay and which state are you from?

I have the same date as you. I don't have a pre-op diet either. I am to have a small Breakfast and nothing after that the day before surgery.

Your story sounds a lot like mine. I have worked hard to save up the money to pay for this surgery. Insurance won't pay. I am having surgery Dec 3rd, God willing!!! I can't wait to take a vacation to Disney. The thought of keeping up with my 9 year old twins without my feet killing me is a dream. A dream that is soon to come true. Best of luck on your journey.
