  1. You're up for surgery tomorrow jsunflower2001! Sending prayers up for you! I'm 1 week post op and down 16 lbs. Feeling pretty darned good too! Keep us posted on your progress!
  2. Thanks for sharing this information; these look a lot better than Gerber!! lol
  3. I had requested two-weeks off of work using my vacation time; I was sleeved on Monday, 12/3 and will return back to work on Monday, 12/17. In my job I have the ability to work from home so when I return, I plan to work 1/2 days in the office and the other 1/2 from home for one full week ... I'm glad that the holidays are just around the corner, so that will offer some additional days off of work too!
  4. Hope all goes well with no complications! Keep us posted.... Im home now and trying to adjust to the soreness and tenderness of my bruised tummy. Flatulence is making its presence known now, and I also have spasms in my stomach as liquid (sips of water) goes down. Its gotta get better though!!

  8. You're gonna do great! I'm ready to go home; supppsed to be released tomorrow.... I will say that after the anesthesia wore off, I did get a bit sick/nauseated. Hang in there!
  9. Sleeved 12/3!!! Surgery went well - no complications; recovery going good. Like: The WLS wait is over! Discomfort: Bloating and gas (bubble guts) Note: Hard to take the smallest sips of Crystal light -- but ice chips are my new BFF!! Even with limited liquid intake I have had to pee a thousand times! Happy: to be joining you on the loser's bench! Taking it easy for now!
  10. Hey My Relief: My surgery date is Dec. 3rd also!! I'm not nervous at all either; I'm the first surgery of the morning (7:00 a.m.) with my surgeon and I am just ready to get'er done!! Gonna spend my Sunday putting up the Christmas tree with my hubby and kids, do some laundry and help the family prepare for my two night absence here at home. Will soon be packing a light bag for my hospital-hotel stay! LOL Best of the best to you in your surgery and recovery.
  11. Congrats and Kudos to you from Minneapolis, MN! My surgery is on Monday morning at 7 am and I am damn near ready to set up a camp site right outside the hospital! LoL ... I am Über Excited as well. Tomorrow is my last day of work for 2-weeks as well! Look forward to sharing and reading more of our stories here on the forums!

  15. Welcome....Today, I have started my 2 week pre-op liquid diet. I've made it to noon, just finished my shake and opted for a super hot shower to try to kill the carb/sugar withdrawals that I am already experiencing! Ugh!! Hope this passes quickly. To answer your question,on this site alone there seems to be a wide range of pre-op diets and time frames that have prescribed depending upon the clinic, surgeon, or nutritionist that people are working with.
