YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck & let us know how everything goes! :D

Hello ladies! I'm one week away from my WLS (Weds Dec 12). I'm so excited, and feel pretty prepared... I'm actually more nervous about social-situations post surgery when I'm in my weight loss stage than the surgery itself, ha ha ha! I feel like it's an incredible blessing that I get to have this done... So many need it and want it, and don't get to have it paid for by insurance. I just can't tell you what a lucky gal' I am!!! :D

Hope all goes well with no complications! Keep us posted.... Im home now and trying to adjust to the soreness and tenderness of my bruised tummy. Flatulence is making its presence known now, and I also have spasms in my stomach as liquid (sips of water) goes down.

Its gotta get better though!!..

Hello December 2012 Sleevers!

My surgery is first case tomorrow morning. I am a bit anxious about surgery. I know I will be okay it is just that I must go through the process. I hope you all do well and I will just send a note to let you know I am sleeved and moving forward when I return home.

Best Regards,

AKTX

Dear December Sleevers,

I had my surgery Dec 4 and all went well. I am recoverying now and have good hopes for the future. The first day was a blur and the second day I was unconfortable with gas pains. The surgery itself is not hard to handle and I am glad I went through it.

For those of you who will have your surgery later this month I have one tip and that is don't be afraid to ask for help and encouragement if you need it; surgery is a big decision. My family was there and supported me all the way even when I had doubt. My doctor was a big support with just few words to me personally that really help me.

Thanks to all you who have giving me encouragement.

God Bless,

AKTX

Congrats AKTX! I crossed over on 12/3...im at home recovering, and I am so happy that I decided to have this surgery. Im excited about this journey the change of lifestyle and of course, weightloss!

The biggest bother to me 4 days post op is when I have to sneeze or cough .... there'sa bit of pain that hits when my stomach expands during a sneeze or cough....otherwise all is well! Cheers to us!

Hi, I am new to this site as well and my surgery is Dec 17th. I am currently on my 2 week pre-op diet and its going ok. I have my pre-op with Dr on the 13th, getting excited/nervous but in a good way.

Hello my name is Arleen and I am sechduled for surgery December 26th I am new to this support group and chatting so any help would be greatly appreciated. I am very excited but very nervous at the same time the doctor started me on a pre surgery diet of four protien drinks a day and a healthy choice meal and a boiled egg but he did give me a list of veggies I am allowed so it is a 850 calorie diet with 85 grams of protien a day. Is anyone else doing this type of diet? I messed up a little these past 2 days because I was out of town so now I feel guilty!
