Suggestions For Support

Hi. My partner is scheduled for surgery in 4 weeks. I am doing the Optifast diet with him in support. I am also reading up as much as I can about it. With all that others have been through, could anyone please offer suggestions on how I can support him during both pre and post-op?

I don't have any suggestions but I just wanted to say how awesome it is that you are supporting him like that.

Wish I had that :(

Be there after surgery. Encourage pain meds. Encourage walking. Be patient. Don't eat favorite foods in front of him. Remember that after a whole he'll be able to eat almost anything but really small portions. Be patient.

i am very lucky to have your support, i thank you from the bottom of my heart. i know this will be a tough journey

Don't bring junk food in the house. If I could get my family to follow that one thing... it would be heavenly. Instead, I get to walk by cookies and crackers every single day....
