Serious Question Need Advice ..please

Ok first off..please don't start off by telling me anything about an eating disorder..because I am a therapist and know very much about what it takes to be diagnosed with a eating disorder. Lol..

I ordered wonton soup and gave my daughter the content so I could have the broth. I had the dumb idea I could have a bite of a wonton and spit it out..I accidentally swallowed part of the noodle..I'm freaked

.nothing happened..but I really stick to the rules ..I had no pain..I'm one week out and kind of nervous

What so you guys think..enough to cause damage?

I am one week out too. My doctor says that anything soft that my stomach can tolerate is ok. I have had egg salad, cottage cheese, fish. Amount many other full liquids.

I think as long as you feel ok, you're fine. The reason that was given to me to avoid pastas, breads, rice is because it expands in your stomach and will cause it to stretch. That pretty much defeats the purpose of having surgery. I'm heading into week 3 post op and my meal plan actually says I can have low fat crackers. I was totally surprised and probably won't eat any because I'm a carb junkie and just need to avoid them all together.

You will be ok! It's just a soft noodle, yes you are on liquids so your stomach can heal, but a soft noodle shouldn't give you a leak. Just stick to your plan, protect that staple line- and you will be ok!

You'll be fine. Those noodles are so soft. We all have a weak moment it's just making sure we dont have a lot of them. At 7 days I had a bite of a cheese stick and was so worried. My doc laughed at me when I told him.

That could be a problem if you got in the habit of it. Your sleeve is still a baby and needs some time to heal an mature into a Responsible sleeve. As a point of reference, I am many months out and am still not eating Pasta. I don't know ow Stevo-sleevo would take it. Would he grimace, be happy, go postal? Who knows? You shouldn't play with the healing process.
