Any Nov 15Th Sleevers?

My surgery date is 2 days away, 11/15 in NJ. Wondering if anyone else is having surgery the same day? I see a lot for this week, but not much for 11/15. Can't believe it is only 2 days away, we set this date in September! I'm sort of numb and nervous all at the same time!

So frustrated!!! I got told I don't go in until 1pm tomorrow and I had requested specifically a morning appointment for vaious reasons (child care being the biggest) and that I know me, waiting around, I may get so nervous and anxious I may chicken out. I'm so upset. the she said to me you're getting the band right? UM NOOOOO I'm getting the sleeve!!! Oh yeah, it's on here, right the sleeve, she says to me.. Grrr... Apparently they got bumped from the OR... MY LUCK.. little and none.. part of why I'm so nervous about the surgery! If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck....Ugh I could just cry, now I have to try and figure this all out.

Well tomorrows the day! I have been waiting for a long time to do this and it seems like a dream. Nerves are getting to me a little though. I'll see you all on the losers bench!

AGGGGG! My surgeon had an emergency and cancelled my surgery tomorrow! I rescheduled for the 23rd...but I had worked everything out with my kids and family and I was SO ready...and now I have to re-order everything. I am frustrated!!!! I was so ready, relaxed and prepared...grrrrr!

This is the day!! At the hospital now. Surgery at 7. Nervous and excited.

Today is the day!

Good luck to all my fellow Nov 15th'ers!!! Today is our day! Sending prayers and well wishes to everyone. Let's touch base when we can! i don't go in until 11, surgery is at 1.

Hugs!

Good luck everyone! I'm currently sitting in the waiting room getting anxious. This feels so surreal!

Awesome! I all smiles over here. Not in too much pain. Only pain is in the largest of the surgical cuts. Mouth is like I ate an entire bag of cotton balls.

One day post-op. Feeling like a million bucks!! Barium swallow in a few minutes, then on to my first liquids. I have so much energy. Pain is VERY minimal (only in one site of 6). Walked at least 10 laps last night and this morning. Showered, dressed and ready to start my new healthy life! I hope this journey continues to be uncomplicated. Best of luck to all of you that are sharing in this experience.

Stick it out!! Remember why you are doing this and if you have to get assertive with some people then so be it!

So how are all my Nov 15th pals doing? I'm doing ok but wow am I sore. The gas pain in my sternum has been giving me a hard time and my eyes went blurry for a few days, but other than that I guess I'm doing ok. I can't take the liquid pain medicine, makes me dry heave just thinking about it it takes so bad!! The incident last night literally threw my back out and made 2 of the incisions that weren't sore, sore.

I keep reminding myself of the end result for doing this to myself. Once we get past the next few days, hopefully things will be more normal. food totally repulses me, nothing looks appealing and everything tastes differently. Anyone else have this?
