Newbie Here!

Hi everyone! My name is Robin. I am 44 years old. I have decided to do something for myself for once. I have decided to have gastric sleeve surgery. My first doctor's visit was on Sept. 18th 2012 with Dr. Jay Snow out of St. Louis Missouri. My insurance company just approved my surgery and it is set for the 16th of Nov. I am currently on my pre-op liquid diet, day 2. I am doing ok but would like to eat something with some consistency. I can have nothing but clear liquids. I am trying not to complain too much because this is my choice. I am determined to get this done and start living a new healthy life. Right now, I am excited, scared, and nervous but I think that these are normal feelings. I will post more after surgery. Good luck to the other newbie's out there.

Welcome, Congrats, and Goodluck!

It's a great feeling to get the approval! The pre-op diet gets easier around day 3-4!

Welcome, and congrats. Hope you have a quick and smooth recovery.

Hi Robin!

I'm new here also and we both have the same surgery date! I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I will be starting my pre-op liquids on Monday. Like you, I am determined and READY!!!!!

The pre-op diet gets really easy once you've had the surgery. :)
