November 20th. Ft Lauderdale. Dr Michael Perez - I am so excited!

Thanks for your kind words and support everyone! My surgery on the 6th went very smoothly and I was released from the hospital today. I've been walking for 15 mins or so every few hours. The only painkiller I'm on is paracetamol. I'm not really in any pain. Just a headache fom being dehydrated. my stomach gurgles an awful lot and it does hurt if I drink too fast. But overall, I'm feeling much better than expected. And my surgeon is pleased with my results.

Good luck to everyone who is still on the pre op diet. It's hard, but gets easier after the fourth day or so.

I'm on day 11 of my liquid diet. Thankfully cream soups are allowed, that's a lifesaver. Can actually say it hasn't been bad. Have lost 16 pounds . Maybe I should liquid diet for a year and not have surgery....hmmm...big day is Monday 12th

Hey November sleevers! Just had my pre-op this morning so everything is set for surgery on the 12th. I'm super excited but also a little nervous. Honestly, mostly right now I'm just hungry! This week long liquid diet is killing me and I still have a few days left. I have given in a couple times and had a reduced fat cheese stick but other than that its protein shakes and broth for me. On the plus side I'm down 5 lbs since Sunday! Good luck everyone!

11 days to go 7lbs down....nervous

Good Luck November Sleevesters!!!! :D

I start my liquid diet on Tuesday and I am nervous...

Virtual hand hold hugs and prayers are needed :)

Sending big hugs... you are going to do great! You are on your way to a better, happy and healthier you. You should cry... That is a huge accomplishment to put yourself first. Looking forward to updates from you after surgery. You have a big sleever family cheering you on!

Monday the 12th is fast approaching. The all liquid diet has been brutal to stick to. So I cheated, but in a good way. Actually, I was feeling weak and run down and had awful headaches when I didn't add some sort of other protein to my day. With three full left before my surgery, I'm gonna stick to the shakes and broth and water. I'm not that nervous yet, although I did have a nightmare that I woke up one day and I was bald! it was a crazy dream!

AFTER surgery, I plan to tell them that they need to "re-think" their two week pre-op diet  I wonder if they'll listen.. Good luck everyone!

November 2nd, last Friday. I get to o to puréed food after this weekend but have had no issues. sterile strips are off, off all pain meds except Percocet at night so I don't wake up if I roll on my stomach. 12 pounds down from surgery weight. No issues at all, walked 3 miles today. Got in all proteins and should get ll water in too. So far this is the best thing I have every done.
