I have a cup of soy milk in my shake everyday.

I don't see why not. I can't handle whey so I am doing rice protein.

I use Lite Soy milk in my protein shakes everyday, for the past five months and its working fine for me. No issues or problems, and it has protein in it also.

you can have any type of protein. I also can't do whey so I do vegetable protein.

I wasn't told I need to differentiate between types of protein. Go for it!

You definitely need to be aware of what Protein you are consuming & the quality. There are Proteins being marketed that provide no benefit to humans. Protein supplements are not regulated by the FDA so it is a buyer beware scenario.

Soy is not an ideal protein as it does not contain the full spectrum of amino acids utilized by the human body. That being said, as long as it is not your primary source of protein you are perfectly fine using it for some of your protein. Also soy contains estrogen which can throw your bodies chemical balance off if you consume too much.
