Why Am I Hiding?

Hi everyone.. I have a question.

I see some of you are "hiding" like I am, not revealing who we really are. Why? Why do I do it myself? I guess I don't want to be found in the real world? Made fun of if found?

I mean I should be proud of my weight loss success?

My friends/family who are close to me and trustworthy know... so what does it matter who else know, as long as my true friends and family support me and help me?

There are days, especially lately.. I want to put my pic up on my avatar, I want to put before/after pics..

but.. I can't???

and not sure why?

I shouldn't care what people say! right?!?

I made my 1st step,,, posted my facebook link on my profile, 1st step to revealing who I am..

I mean I already have a few friends on fb who I met here, but that's different :)

Have you ever heard the expression "fake it till you make it"? That is exactly what it's gonna take. You pretty much have to force an outgoing personality for a while, then it will become natural. And the more outgoing you are the more opportunities you have for that positive reinforcement that will make you more confident.

hmmm, you are the first person who said that I prob have an introverted personality. I honestly don't think I am... and if I am.. I am not your stereotypically shy gal, lol. Or what do you mean by that? I am the loud one and very social... but I will admit, I have a self image issue. I know I am pretty, but I don't think I am. I know I lost 80lbs and look good but not good enough. I don't care what people say yet I want to protect myself from gossip and getting hurt.

I think I can trust people on this site, and not share my picture and make fun of me? lol, I don't know?

BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT TO BE JUDGED!!! Someday soon you will say, you know what, I don't care what anyone thinks about me. I am proud to show my face and tell about my decision to get healthy with the GS surgery. Good luck to you and hope to see your photo soon.

You really look great! Thanks for posting pics.

OTR: "fake it til you make it". My boss says that every time she sets a new rule that I know my department won't like. First time I've heard it outside of work.

Thank you :) you guys boost my self esteem!

aww I can't see you! It says error no permission!
