Hey everyone. I was sleeved on 10/6 by Dr Kelly, so I'm less than 24 hours post op. When I got all checked in to the hospital, they measured my height. I've always been measured as being 5ft but was measured here and was told I'm 4'8"(I don't know why but I got really upset about this, must just be nerves). Then the nurses couldn't find a vein and I started to lose control. Huge meltdown almost canceled and went home but Omar (Dr. Kelly's assistant) came in and calmed me down. Woke up from surgery in massive pain and had tons of nausea. Some morphine and a few good upchucks and I felt better. One piece of advice, if you feel like you need to throw up, just do it. Hurt at first but then felt much better. I'm the only patient on this floor, so I have 2 nurses and an on call doctor, who respond to every button push or noise. Feeling much better than yesterday, just feel yucky from the anesthesia, I always get a weird hangover and headache after surgery. Sorry for the rambling, just kind out of it.
