U have to be on the liquid diet 14 days before surgery. My Sept 25th. Started liquids on the 26th.

How much we're the shakes? Where r u having your surgery done at?

The shakes are 139.00. And u get a lot of them with vitamins included. My procedure will be at Baptist. I go tomorrow for the pre-op lab work up

I feel a lot better knowing what to expect!!! Do you have to pay anything out of pocket at Baptist? I'm having to pay 1700 but that's my co insurance :/

Self pay. I feel great!!! I had absolutely no nausea and very minimal pain (just the one incision where they pull the stomach out). Just moved up to full liquids. Protein shake no problems, split pea soup -too heavy. Down 30# so far! :-)

Also meant to say -Dr Alvarez is wonderful!! The whole experience was fabulous! Felt very well taken care of and Dr A was not only clinically excellent, he is very kind and has a great personality! Trust me when I say that is a rare combination (I'm a RN in hospital setting).

I used behavioral health management in sherwood they were fast and it was an easy process. What dr are you using? Who is your insurance carrier?
