  1. BrickHouse- Looove it! OTR- what a great idea! I'm adding it to my new "recipe" file! I was a HuGE pepsi addict but I was able to wean myself by gradually substituting crystal lite drinks made a little stronger. They fill my mouth with the type of intense flavor I got from the pepsi minus the carbonation and caffeine. I am proud to say I have not had a pepsi in about a month now AND have NO desire for one!
  2. I am going to Dr Alvarez in Piedras Negras on September 25! :-) :-)
  3. Being so flexible I can actually BE a contortionist! Lol!
  4. I am a self-pay going to Mexico. I have an appointment with my PCP later this week. I want lab drawn as a baseline so I will know how I am doing down the road. What do you or your doctor check 3, 6, 12 months out from your surgery?
  5. I'm going to assume most people mean well. For some, that means mentioning weight loss. For others, they aren't comfortable bringing it up. I think they are uncertain how the recipient (us) will take it, so they'd rather say nothing and be "safe".
  6. I am so happy that you are so happy! :-) I am looking forward to being where you are in a very short time!
  7. What great ideas you all come up with! I am now working on the "shart-proof" undies and eye bleach to take to the Shark Tank! LOL!
  8. How much coconut oil do you take?
  9. IPrincess- congratulations & best of luck to you! We are same day!
  10. Iggychic - so sorry you have had a rough time! Hang in there, it will get better. What happened that you lost so much blood?
  11. Lissa- how soon after your surgery did you start working out? I am scheduled for 9/25 and am trying to do more walking but as my weight has gone up my feet hurt more and more.
  12. Good for you!! Have fun!
  13. Lovenox injection needles are very small. It doesn't hurt, more like a pinch if you do it right. Thumb & forefinger about 2-3 inches apart, pinch up the skin FIRMLY (that kind of numbs the spot), clean & inject. It may burn a little after but DON'T rub or scratch the spot. It also helps to take a deep breath and exhale as you inject. Good luck!
  14. Princess- who is your surgeon?
  15. How soon after surgery can you start the chia seeds?
  16. WOW!! thanks for some great & helpful info! It can be very confusing protein shopping. OTR - you have helped me more than you know as I am standing in the store aisles! :-))
  17. Why no corn starch?
  18. I've been having regular food funerals the past few weeks also! But since I've set my mind on wls surgery, & especially since I set my date, somehow it doesn't taste as satisfying. Unfortunately, can't say the same for my pepsi addiction! Ready to quit and found a FULL CASE!! Can you say OMG?!? dumped several down the drain, and "forcing" myself to drink the rest this week. No more after Monday, I promise!
  19. Frisco Texas? I will be driving by there on my way to Eagle Pass. Unfortunately we don't have a Vitamin Shoppe in central Arkansas. :-(
