Pushing It?

I will be 2 weeks sleved on Wednesday and besides being sore I feel great. I however am not doing my vitamins, prescriptions for tummy and eating what I want just small portions. I have never been sick but I am wondering if I am pushing my luck and if I am not going to loose weight as well as I am so not doing puréed/ all liquid foods. Thoughts appreciated please

  • Oh please, please be careful! You've had major surgery done on your stomach, and it will be months before the nerve endings heal, so you can be hurting yourself and not feel it! Your stomach has so

  • Just curious, what are your doctor's instructions? I think we are given specific directions for a specific reason and would advise you to follow those instructions to be as successful as possible. No

I'm day 10 with my sleeve and I'm still on clear liquids. Every doctor is different with the diets but my doctors plan I think will be beneficial for me. It's 2 weeks clear liquids

2 weeks full liquids

2 weeks soft food.

Sometimes I forget to take it easy with running around but I have to stop myself and remember this was major surgery and it's for my future. Best of luck to you!!!!! :)

I think at this point you should still be on full liquids' date=' don't push it take it easy you are in this for the long haul.

Protein shakes

yogurt

thinned creamy soups strained

sf pudding

sf Jello

soupy cream of wheat

You will have the rest of your life to eat, let your stomach heal and be good to it.[/quote']

Not all surgeons have the same plans. I was doing puree and starting with mushy soft food at 2 weeks with the blessing of my doctor. He said to "progress as you can tolerate."

My doc told me the same but my nut freaked and said to stick to her plan. So I am. And now further out my stomach forces me to stick to it. It is crazy how different every ones plan is.

This is the eating stage plan I was on as well. Not only does this give your sleeve time to heal, you can also lose a heck of a lot of weight. You just have to make sure to get the Protein, fluids and supplements in.
