So tomorrow marks 3 weeks post op for me . I have been back to work since 5 days post op and been fine. Had trouble with dehydration and was able to overcome that by using a straw to get my fluids in of course i know you aren't supposed to use a straw but my doctor said if i was able to tolerate it without a problem then it was ok. Now my biggest problem now is pure exhaustion I feel as though someone has sucked every ounce of energy from me. I have been on a multivitamin since coming home . I just started taking b12 last Thursday. I picked up some vitamin C and ,calcium, iron. As requested by my doctor when will i start feeling better i have 4 kids,4 dogs ,and a husband who is like a 5th kid lol I feel nearly useless when I come home from work.My job is not real demanding ,the pay is great . I take care of an elderly lady . Basically all I have to do is put her on her bedpan transfer her from bed to wherlchair, cook meals and dishes thats it... Anything else I could add to the equasion that would make me feel better?thanks in advance.. On the plus side i haven't had pain since surgery .I am also doing great with no probs on this pureed diet and have lost 22 pounds since surgery and now officially off my blood pressure meds:)
