I planned 2 weeks. I was sleeved 8-22-12 and I'm headed back to work 9-4-12. Half days if need be, will listen to my body! Everyone is different. Good luck to you!!!

I didn't have a surgery yet, but I am taking only 1 week.

What about the lifting restrictions? I have a pretty physical job and my surgeon says no lifting more than 5 pounds for 4 weeks. Anyone else have this concern?

Yes! As a nurse there is always lifting involved. My surgeon told me not to lift anything heavier than a milk jug. I am pre op, surgery set for October 2 but will he taking of 6 weeks from work

Skinnieminnie, thanks for your response. I was beginning to think I was taking too much time off. I am also taking 6 weeks. Btw we have lots in common because I also work in the medical field. I am an xray tech which explains the lifting. Good luck. Hope to see your posts along the way. My surgery is Oct 9th, one week after you.
