I would contact your surgeon. From what I understand, after reading a bunch of different experiences on this site, each surgeon has different requirements regarding pre op diets. I would think that at the very minimum that your surgeon would want you to fast the day before in order to empty your stomach and make your experience with anesthesia better. Good luck!

It depends on the surgeon. Mine is 10/3 and Im not on a liquid diet at all.

I did get a letter saying all my dates and at the bottom it said no eating or drinking the night before the day of surgery

So this cold of mine is actually a sinus infection. Great. Went to a walk in clinic this morning and got an order for doxycycline. It's a ten day course. 10th day being oct 2..my surgery date. So I guess on my final pre op appointment with my surgeon I will be asking him if he wants me to continue to be on it a few days prior to surgery or not. Wish me luck!

We got the same sleeve date congrats! I am super excited as well and it makes it so much easier when you have support my family supports me as well

Day 8 of my PRE-OP. I can see light at the end of the tunnel. It is not easy, but it is a testament of whats to come.

It depends on the surgeon. Mine is 10/3 and Im not on a liquid diet at all.

my surgery is also 10/3 and no liquid diet except for the day before surgery. where are you mztj?

Oct 10 is the first day of the rest of my life!! Have to call Thursday to get my LOA...and then 2 weeks...greeting super excited! I'm 35 married with 2 children. Can NOT wait to start to feel good about myself again!
