  2. The chocolate splendor is really yummy ! Tastes like chocolate milk
  3. I am so sorry to hear that you are having such an emotional break... I know how you feel because I was feeling the same way just last week. It felt like the whole world was crumbling around me... I lay awake and cried most of the night last night praying for God to show me a sign that I was doing the right thing for me and my family.... this morning when I woke I felt refreshed in my decision.... God won't put anything on you that you can't handle.... he's always there to guide you, he brought you and me to this forum so we wouldn't face this alone. I worried about not making it in surgery too.... but I would rather face a small % complication rate with surgery rather than knowing with 100% certainty that if I don't have it obesity health problems will kill me. Chin up.... wipe your eyes, we are here for you!
  4. A support group would be a great idea! I tried taking chantix but had an allergic reaction to it.... a friend told me about the ecig, gonna get one tomorrow and see how that goes
  5. Done.... hope this helps, they are adorable
  6. That's where I found mine.... been using the toothpaste and mouthwash for a while now. My bp meds dry my mouth out so my family doc suggested I try it.... it works. Just look my the mouthwash
  7. Wal Mart, Walgreens, and CVS carries the spray, mouthwash, and toothpaste
  8. Hello and welcome! Good luck on your journey and healthier life. God Bless
  9. " The power of God's love is greater than my fears". Unknown

  11. Thanx for the info.... but I've already scheduled with Dr. Alvarez.
  12. I have seen on youtube videos that he has done lap band to vsg... hope this helps. Just do a search on youtube a lot of information there
  13. I have seen youtube videos where he has done lap band to vsg surgeries ...
  14. The manometry is a little uncomfortable but no worry of throwing up on anyone..... the test took 15 to 20 minutes ..... i really didn't feel anything cause she numbed my throat really good. Good luck
  15. I've had both tests done... the EGD you're put into what they call "twilight" , they put a tube down your throat to check for strictures, hernias, and any ablation on the esophagus. The manometry wasn't that bad even though you're awake they use a spray to numb your nose and throat. It basically checks the muscles in your throat and makes sure you don't have problems swallowing.
  16. Thanks for the reply..... starting to get things on my shopping list, biotein spray is on there.... so I guess this will be needed. Again thank you..... glad things went well for you
  17. Hello, have a question about the leak test... my papers say that he now does the leak test during surgery, does he still do the 24 hr test as well? If not, do you get ice chips the night of your procedure or still wait till next day? Thanks
  18. Kei$ha , Rihanna, and LMFAO are just a few of my favorites .... very energetic and fun to workout with
  19. That is great news.... congratulations !
  20. I feel your pain... the waiting game is the worst thing ever! You have so much time to sit and think about all the what ifs... what if this doesn't work for me or what if I don't get approved. Being on this forum has been a true Godsend for me, when I feel down on myself I get on here and read such wonderful success stories and think yeah .. that Will be me too! Keep your chin up you can do this and next year we both will be much healthier and happier for it.
  21. Irishmama2004, who was your doctor if I may ask? I'm going to Dr. Alvarez in October and he does the same thing with stitching over the staples and leak test during surgery. I'm almost there... can't believe how fast my time is coming. In the beginning it felt like forever and now in 56 days I will be rockin my sleeve woo hoo
  22. Hi Rachel, and welcome! You have definitely come to the right place for answers and support. The people on here are awesome! I'm preop so I can't answer your questions, just wanted to say hi to my fellow Ohioan...I'm from Columbus.
