My surgery date is Oct 12. I too am so excited!

I have just a little over 2 weeks left myself..... feeling nervous and anxious! Almost got everything on my list.... it's weird but the thing I dread the most is the i.v, I have tiny, deep, rolling veins it takes forever to get a line going and I feel like a pin cushion by the time they finally get it going.

You and me both.little more than 2 weeks left. Anxious, happy, excited, nervous. No rolling veins, but they tend to collapse, and I have a tape allergy that everyone from the doctors down to the nurses seem to ignore. Maybe I'll tattoo it to my forehead!

How is everyone's pre-op going. I a mid way through day 1. 14 to go! Not too bad YET. I have to say I am full after lunch. My liquid homemade chicken and vegetable soup. I could only eat a few bites of jello. Next shake at 3. I am not even close to water goal. 18oz to go this round and then another 24 oz. I will try to get more water in after my soup digest.

Doing a pre-pre op diet of shake in the am' date=' tuna at lunch, snack shake mid afternoon and meat with a green veggie for dinner. Hungry, but working it. Full Liquid phase on wed for 12 days, then 2 days of clears. I think I'm gonna make it!

Yep, over the top with enthusiasm and nerves. No liquid diet yet, have pre-op meeting with dr this week and pre-op class next week.

You know I've read & seems like everyone does a liquid diet pre-op but I don't have to...I just have to do low fat.. I don't meet with my dr until the 27th

I don't have a pre-op diet but 2 days before surgery I will have to drink clear liquids but if I get too hungry they said I can have a protein shake. The magnesium that I have to take the day before surgery will make me crap my brains out. I'm not looking forward to the magnesium and I heard it taste awful. My surgeon has been asking me what type of incision (5 incisions or 1 incision through the belly button). I plan to just have them go through my belly button because then I will only have to worry about 1 incision healing. He says it's mostly about anesthetics but he says the decision is up to me.
