I'm tired mentally I just have to keep going its a drag to think I can't get through seven days my surgery is on Friday, August 24 have to make it through thank you for your support reading your post helped me realize that I have to be strong

Hang in there! I am tired, too. Day 13 here, surgery Monday.

Focus on the prize! You can do it!!

I am on day 4 too! We must have the same surgery date, August 29. I was just coming on here to look for some support. It is way harder than I expected. I wasn't thinking I would be this hungry all of the time. We can do this! 4 days down 10 to go!

Had my surgery August 9th....I feel your pain!! I too was feeling weak and tires ALL the time and couldn't seem to get out of bed, all I wanted to do was sleep. I spoke to my doctor and explained to him and informed him I was maybe intaking ONLY about 200-300 calories instead of the 800-900 I was suppose to be doing AND he immediately switched my to REGULAR SUGAR jello, popsicles and diluted juices, so that I could intake more calories. It made a huge difference and I felt much better. Ask and give it a try. :)

Day 7 was when I stopped wanting to eat the world!!! That day 3, day 4 "everything gets better" rule didn't apply to me! Lol!

That pre-op diet is the absolute hardest part. There is no getting around it. Just keep your eyes on the prize. Very soon you are going to feel so much better. In the meantime you need to find something to do to take your mind off of how you feel. If you just sit around and watch the clock, time will drag on and you will feel worse. I know it's hard but force yourself to do something. Anything you enjoy or maybe some tasks you've been putting off that need doing. After surgery you won't be able to do much so now is the time. I promise you things are about to change in your life for the better.

Thanks everyone. It is so very hard. The only thing that's kept me going it I want this so bad! My surgery date is the 29th and I'm so ready but honestly wish I could sleep through it all. I'm still working and I have a very active job so that keeps me moving mostly. Today has been a rough one. Not so much feeling hunger (head hunger YES) but no actual hunger which is good. Just super weak and overall not feeling good. I really hope this isn't how ill feel after sugery for very long. Its emotionally draining!
