Best of luck with your surgery. There's a lot of good info here so read, read, read and feel free to ask questions.

Hi Cory, and welcome to LBT! It is natural to be nervous prior to your surgery, but I am sure you will do fine. Before you know it, it will be done and over and you will be on your way with your new band. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. That is what we are here for, to support one another.

Welcome Cory from another Houstonian. You will be fine,I was very nervous also but all for no reason. This board and this band is awesome.

I was banded at the end of April and I am 20 pounds from goal. Good luck and if you have any questions just let us know.

Well It's 6:00am the day after surgery and I'm feeling pretty good. I was real sore around where they put the port when i came out of surgery but not to bad now. I walked 3 laps around the hospital floor about 4hrs after surgery. I got home about 7pm and slept til this morning.

I'm going for a walk as soon as it gets a little lighter this morning. unfortunately both my wife and my daughter have come down with strep throat.

Hi Cory, I am glad your surgery went well and you are up and walking. The walking is so good for you. You will probably find that the port area is where you will be the sorest for awhile. They sew it into muscle, so it is pretty sore for a few days.

I am sorry your wife and daughter came down with strep. I hope they get to feeling better soon.

Hello Corey glad your surgery went well. I am new to the board today is my first day posting and it sure is helping me to get through the liquid part as it is keeping my occupied and there are no food comercials on ehre like on tv. lol

Hope you are doing well

Hi Corey,

I am sure surgery went well as this is Saturday. Your are probably a little sore around the area where they put the port. But it goes away in a week or two. I had mine done here in Houston too. I had Dr Spivak. It has been 7 weeks and I have had 1 fill. Lost 20 pounds in 5 weeks so hang in there. I am very glad I got the lapband despite how nervous I was. I am sure you will be too. Good luck Terry
