Hello Everybody

I just wanted to say hi to everyone and wish everyone good luck with thier personal goals. I'll be getting banded in two weeks!! I'm so excited and I can't wait to get this over with. If anyone has any pointers to get through this thing, I'll love you forever. One question though... what does "pbing" mean? :D

Hi Tracicat! My only pointer will be to take things one day at a time.

I had my surgery a month ago and my main focus has been to follow the rules to allow time for my stomach to heal. The fact that I've lost 22 lbs is just a bonus! I still step on the scale daily but that's because I just can't believe how quickly it's dropping. I keep waiting for it to bounce back up like it was all a dream.

Take the first few months easy and don't get impatient. The weight will come off.

Good luck!

My pointer would be to remember, the band is a tool to assist you in losing weight. I can assure you it will not do it for you, it will NOT make the right choices for you, but it WILL help you to make better choices.

Hugs and good luck to a healthier happier you!

Good luck to you! Keep on reading posts and be prepared for the long haul. We are here to support you and we can all do this together.

We are all on the same path to fitness anyway!

Hi Tracicat! Welcome to LBT and congratulations on your upcoming surgery. This is a very exciting time. Does your doctor have you on a pre-op diet? Before you know it, the two weeks will be gone and you will be an official bandster. Feel free to ask questions, we are glad to help.

Welcome and good luck on the upcoming surgery. My pointer is to get up ASAP after surgery and walk. Also, get off the pain meds and onto just the tylenol as soon as you're able to. Both of these things will lessen the gas pains and get you feeling better sooner.
