when i got sleeved, i took in no Protein because i couldnt tolerate shakes. then at week 5, i was diagnosed with a leak & didnt eat for 5-6 wks after that. i upped my protein from about 20g to 90-110g of protein so its definitely not that. :/

How did they know you had a leak after 5 weeks?

I feel hunger sometimes at 6 months out. The thing is--it's a whisper compared to the monster of hunger I had pre-op. Yes, grehlin is still produced in other parts of the body and it does continue to grow a bit as the years go by after surgery, according to studies. The body is an amazing thing. I was more of a binge eater before the sleeve---a volume eater---and now I can't eat anywhere near what I could before. So grateful for my sleeve.
