Gained Weight Right After Surgery!

I had my surgery on July 18th. Just flew home and weighed myself. I'm 5 lbs heavier than the day I left? Anyone else experience tis, and what could cause this?

It probably is the fluids that they pumped into you at the hospital. Also flying will make you retain water. If you pee all night, you'll see a few lbs. drop. I gained 10 lbs from the hospital. Lost it all within a few days.

All the saline they were feeding you through IV

yep, it's the fluids that they pump into you so you don't dehydrate. i was 13 pounds heavier the day after surgery and 8 pounds heavier on day 3 when i left the hospital. it took me a few days to lose it again.

Yep - went up 7lbs right after surgery. The good news is that it comes off pretty quickly.
