My surgeon didn't allow me to swim until 2 weeks post op! Keep in mind you don't want to be in large areas of water with your incisions still healing! Your more prone for infection!

True that.

We went to Siesta Key beach here in Florida yesterday. It was more crowded than we had anticipated. We found out the reason for that was that several other beaches were closed due to bacterial levels. Siesta Key was OK, it didn't have water drains feeding into it. I would stick to clean pools for a while.

my surgeon says no bath, beach, hot tub, or pool until the wounds have scabbed over and fallen off.

My surgeon said four weeks out if incisions are healed:)

My Dr. Said 10 days and I went on the 10 day everything was ok ...

Everyone doesn't have stitches on their incision so we are cleared earlier than some to get in the pool. I was sleeved on June 28th and cleared for the pool on July 10th. My surgeon used deems bond on my incisions which are hardly noticeable.
