July 16Th Sleevers!

Our time has come! I have been doing clear liquids all day after my 10oz of magnesium citrate ugh!! Anyone else have to do this today?

I just packed for the hospital. Packed clothes for my little ones to stay at grandma and grandpa so that hubby can just be with me. Now this is real. I'm so nervous today. All I have been doing is praying that the revision goes well and that I could be back home with the kids by Wednesday. I have never been away from my almost 2 year old for more than 1 night and that just happened a few weeks ago. So I just hate leaving the kids. Prayers going up for all of us soon to be sleevers tomorrow. I know there were quite a few of us! Good luck everybody!!

I agree Marty! I'd love to hear how everyone's doing - definitely easier having someone to come through it with...

I've been having those new Ensure Clear drinks. They are a little high in sugars and carbs, but do have 9 oz of protein. I'm only going to drink those for a few more days. Then when I can, onto full liquids. It's one of the few things sitting well with me, so I figured I'll take it!

I'll have to try those, these isopures are so awful tasting...

I love the peppermint tea every morning and also any of the Celestial teas like honey vanilla camomile are so nice and soothing- I kind of drink them all day in addition to Water.

It's so true that every day gets better. Sometimes it's moment by moment though. Not pain but like spikes of energy of complete lack of it.

I'm so grateful I haven't had issues with food/taste/temp. tolerance though.

As far as shakes I drink Oh Yeah (30 grams protein) and Pure Protein (in a can) 35 grams protein.

I've been out of hospital since Wednesday morning too, rested the day at motel (i live in country western australia - surgeries such as this one is only carried out in Perth) been shopping ever since. Massive headache on Thursday, but think that i was probably dehidrated. Been really well, haven't been nausious since Wednesday. Living on runny yoghurt, chicken soup and custard! Well done everyone!

I was sleeved July 16 as well!! Today I started the baby food stage. Only problem I'm having is constipation. Also my insisions are not healing as pretty as I thought they would. !

Today is my first day of purees as well.

I had an appt. and then went shopping. I think I got every possible thing that can be mushed today. I'm so exhausted from the shopping I can't even begin to cook the things I had planned..the ricotta bake, the cauliflower cheesy bake thingy I've read about...ect. etc. I did eat (suck on) one of those laughing cow cheeses...YUMMY!!! It was awesome after about a month of liquid.

I hope everyone's healing well. I really don't feel like I had such a major surgery.

Lara, It takes time for the insisions to look great probably. Mine aren't bad- although I don't know what to compare them to. You could do stool softener. Good luck!!

P.S. Where's your tickers people?! :) I'd love to see as we all go down together.
