NuStartInTx got a reaction from sdb1147 in New Sleever :) Introduction To Me..I didn't like any of them, but I just kept telling myself, it's just for one week - you can do this :-) and as mentioned before you can cut it with crystal light or G2 even...

NuStartInTx got a reaction from sdb1147 in New Sleever :) Introduction To Me..I got the isopure at GNC...none of them taste great but the orange was the easiest to tolerate - I had to do one, 1oz sip every ten minutes. Tastes like Gatorade with absolutely no sweetener. I had my sleeve on July 15th, I'm on mushies and two weeks from solid foods. Double check with your Dr on the isopure as all Dr.s differ. Hope you feel better soon. Sip, sip, sip!

I travel about 80% for work and bought one of those baby formula contains that has three spots for a scoop of protein powder. I think it will work out. I put the unflavored in it so i can add it to food if I have to eat out. Good luck!!

NuStartInTx got a reaction from Dooter in Restaurant Booth Nsv (Pic)That's great! I can't wait....I hate going to lunch with co workers or friends and they give each other the "who's going to get stuck sitting on the side with the fat lady" look.

NuStartInTx got a reaction from Mimismom in What Would You Do?I had the same problem after gallbladder surgery, my pants kept rubbing on my belly button and I ended up with a skin infection and a round of antibiotics. Definitely call your Dr and be careful! I had surgery on the 15th and am back to the office tomorrow. I'm more worried about my back hurting than anything

NuStartInTx reacted to NDN_RN in Adding CheeseHi folks. I havent been sleeved yet. Hoping for late sept date. I am reading about the carb/ mashed potatoes. I believe though the bulk of your meal should be protien. You should have 20-40 G of carbs to give you enough energy to digest your protien and keep your body from going into starvation mode No less than 800 cal a day . I am an RN and i do a lot of diet teaching. Go figure

NuStartInTx reacted to Marty McSkinnystein in July 16Th Sleevers!I love the peppermint tea every morning and also any of the Celestial teas like honey vanilla camomile are so nice and soothing- I kind of drink them all day in addition to Water.
It's so true that every day gets better. Sometimes it's moment by moment though. Not pain but like spikes of energy of complete lack of it.
I'm so grateful I haven't had issues with food/taste/temp. tolerance though.
As far as shakes I drink Oh Yeah (30 grams protein) and Pure Protein (in a can) 35 grams protein.

NuStartInTx reacted to shangefan in Protein Shakes? The only point I would make is that the Unjury has lots of protein.
-
NuStartInTx reacted to kczar in Protein Shakes?I really don't like canned broth and I'm afraid to try the Unjury powdered chicken broth so I think I'm going to make my own. I figure I can flavor it with a bunch of herbs and veggies, then strain it and freeze in ice trays. Then just pop one out, heat up and add unflavored protein. That's the plan anyway.

NuStartInTx got a reaction from meyouus in Sleep Apnea StudyI was tested and diagnosed with hyperventilation and sleep apnea. I cried myself to sleep the first week because I had to wear that sexy mask and live plugged into the wall...and I travel internationally for work, I cant tell you how stressed I was trying to figure out how to make that work right in some 3rd world country where I couldn't ask for distilled water (in retrospect I was being dramatic, all that has worked out easily)....but forced myself through it, knowing the stress it puts on your heart. I had edema and was putting on weight daily. Now...OMGosh I would kill someone who tried to come between me and my CPAP. I didn't realize how strongly my life and health were being impacted until I actually had a few weeks of good rest under my belt. The test was kind of uncomfortable for me. Lots of wires, really nice room but you know people are watching you sleep on a camera so that was weird. But nothing uncomfortable.
