*blushing* But I Have To Ask....bowel Issues...

I was sleeved on May 21st. Since then, I just can't regulate my bowels. I either have diarrhea, or am constipated for 5 days. I have tried Milk of Mag (too harsh), and Miralax. Both cause me to have the diarrhea. I am still only able to eat protein sources like (chicken, turkey, tuna, eggs, etc). Does anyone have any suggestions to get things more "regular?" I drink plenty of fluids and move a lot.

Well, I haven't found a cure yet. I was in the ER because it has been way too long since I've had a BM. Thankfully there is no blockage or anything like that. The ER doctor has prescribed Colace (100mg) 4 times a day and lots of water. I will let you know if it helps.

I have found that milk of mylanta works. It is horrible tasting but I take it 2-3 times a week and have a good sized bm each time. Never feel backed up or anything.

Sorry guys my husband got on and thought it would be funny to write something.

Once a week I drink Smooth Move tea after work. By morning (sometimes in the very wee hours), things are definitely moving. I had issues before surgery though, and things are pretty much the same...

I love my fiber gummies. It took them a little while to start working but if I miss a day I will see a difference.
