I know I'm only 4 days post op but I can't even eat jello is this normal? Do you experience pain when drinking?? I'd appreciate any feedback.

Perfectly normal.... Your stomach is swollen right now and the swelling needs to go down before you'll be able to eat anything... Even jello. Have you tried sugar free popsicles? Warm broth feels amazing going down right after surgery too...

Well according to my post op diet it's only supposed to be clear liquids for the first 10 days an only a sip at a time. Your stomach is still swollen and irritated so, yeah I would say its probably normal.

I was able to eat jello and sip liquids without pain, as long as I did it slowly and in very small quantities (no more than 2 ounces over a 15 minute period). Any more or faster than that definitely left me in pain. I practically lived on sugar free popsicles and ice chips those first few days.
