Hey Gang - my doctor has not put me on a pre-op diet at all - but after reading posts and having a friend that had the bypass surgery - my husband and i both decided that I will start one as well. I can see real benefits to it. So I guess I will do the liquid diet - that way I will be used to it after my surgery as well. Can anyone tell me what all your pre-op diets consist of?

Oh Nicki - 6 of them? Lol. I have three tibbies and I thought that was crazy! My BFF has a little boy pug, Jake - he is adorable and likes to come over to our house for tibbie play dates! Lol. I know my babies will be excellent with me - they always are and will just lay by me and live on me as I'm healing

I weigh in tomorrow after 1 full week of the pre-op. Let's hope I am as lose to 20lbs lost as possible.

I'm am on day 3 (of 14) of liquid and I am ready to give up!! I havent found anything to satisfy me. Slim fast make me vomit, as well as Atkins. I'm doing good with water, broth and jello but it's getting old quick. Thankfully today I got Popsicles! I feel weak and I really don't have time to be "down".

Premier is suppose to be good have not gone and got them yet, also I like Spiru-Tein they have many flavors to choose from. Spiru-Tein you can get at most health food stores or at amazon.com. There is also a Protein mix that you can add to you broth and sugar free jello to help get in your protein.

I use this as well - you can also get it at GNC and you can get it in the can as opposed to individual packs

My NUT has a big warning about PRemier Protein. Because of the way the Amino Acids are laid out outs bodies can only absorb 12 grams of protein per shake. So they are not an ideal source. She did say that you could mix in a scoop of flavored or unflavored powder and then it would be an excellent choice. And there is a costco coupon for premier this month.
