  1. I have one!! This week my NSV was wrapping a towel around myself with nothing showing!! Not a bath towel, but still an accomplishment to me!! And I upped my weights at the gym from 12.5 to 25.
  2. You guys are looking great!! Keep up the good work, maybe we'll do this again in a month or two!!
  3. I started at 281 on May 4. Surgery weigh in was 261 (pre op loss 20 lbs). Mt surgery date was 5/18/12 I'm now at 224!!! ????happy dance ????????
  4. I had my sleeve May 18, so I'm roughly 2 months out AND minus 50lbs as of today!! I think I'll get myself a present.
  5. I has my sleeve May 18 and am -46 lbs. I'm doing great, now. I had a stay in the hospital a couple of weeks ago due to severe dehydration. Anyway, I don't know how much you can tell by my profile pic but, here's a new pic.
  6. It is very important to stay hydrated! I'm in the hospital right now!! I was so dehydrated my potassium level could have triggered a heart attack, luckily no liver/kidney damage. I have a central line in my neck because my veins are so bad. I came in Monday and won't get out til Thursday. Drink! Drink! Drink!
  7. Thank you all so much. Since posting I have downed another bottle of water. My urine is slightly yellow but I don't go often as I think I should. In total I've had 2 and a half 16oz bottles today. I have 3 kids and as you can guess am extremely busy, it's ball season!! I am having such a hard time with exhaustion that I get depressed. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers, it means a LOT!!
  8. I am trying very hard to do my liquids but my mouth is sooo dry I can barely tolerate drinking anything. Everything turns my stomach. Yesterday was my first good day, I'm 3 weeks post. Today I'm exhausted. I wake up and my lips have to be peeled from my teeth. Because of this I am constantly drained of any energy. Any suggestions? All prayers welcomed.
  9. I'm do glad you posted this question!! I have the SAME problem--probably worse!! I burp, gag, and spit constantly. This surgery has turned me into the most repulsive person!!
  10. My sister and I were sleeved together on the 17th. She is hot on my heels at -30 and I'm -32. I've had some very hard days and still get down and out wondering if I made the right choice. I know it will pay off later, but dang it I'm hungry. I don't know of its mental or if I'm just sick of liquids!! We're on full liquids til June 24!
  11. I was threatened with hospitalization Friday. I double my water and felt better almost instantly. I still haven't gotten to the Drs standard of liquid intake but I'm getting better. It is VERY important to get your liquids in!!!
  12. I'm 2 weeks out from surgery. - 32 lbs (20 pre, 12 post). I think I may he at a standstill, but I can't help but wonder if this was the dumbest thing I've EVER done!! I began at 281, I'm on full liquids and having the worst time ever. Will I ever be able to enjoy anything to eat? Will I ever be normal. Sorry for the rant, I just really miss having a meal with the fam. ????
  13. In the hospital the Dr kept my Bp unusually low. 110/57ish. It's back to normal now (11 days out) but I still have absolutely NO energy.
  14. I'm on the full liquid and would really live some fruit. Any idea when I can have fruit? I'd love some watermelon!!! Just a bite or even the juice would e great.
  15. My sister and I were both sleeves 5/17 and we are still having pains, and slow days. We are so Outgoing and involved with all our kiddos that being "down" is not an option. We did to Upgraded to yogurt, cream soups, etc so things are looking up!
  16. 6 days post op and I've lost 26lbs!! But the really good news is...I'm off clear liquids and can add cream soups, applesauce, and yogurt!!! Plus a few other things I can't remember off hand.
  17. I had dry mouth for a couple of days, now my problem is that I seem to "spit" a lot. It's really annoying.
  18. You all are SO reassuring!! I had my sleeve Friday and was beginning to think I had made a HUGE mistake. I LOVE to eat, when I heal and get off liquids I was thinking I'd never be able ro eat again. Thanks for all your input!!
  19. They let me have gum in the hospital after surgery. It really helped with the cotton mouth!!
  20. We got to the Dr on Thursday and I'm really hoping for yogurt or mashed potatoes. I am sick to death of the liquids, it isn't that I'm hungry I just want something different than the 3 flavors I've had the last 2 weeks!! Anyway I was down 18 pre-op.
  21. We had our surgery Friday and what we thought would be over night in the hospital turned into 2 nights. After 1 night at home I am already feeling much better, my sister...not so much. I've had 3 csections so this was not that big a deal, she's never had surgery so she isn't handling the pain very well. I'm anxious to eat something besides crystal light and chicken broth but I know my tummy needs to heal. I'm ready to bounce back!!
  22. I'm a self pay and she's covered by ins. Yes!! She is on the board, lizard476.
  23. My sister and I are in this together. She and I are both having our sleeves tomorrow and will be in a semiprivate room. I have lost 13 pounds on our 2 week liquid diet and hope that the success will continue.
