Cranky Bitc........,

So I'm 3 1/2 weeks post and have noticed that I have a very short fuse lately. I've never been a moody person. I find myself yelling at my 6 yr old daughter for every little thing. I'm not happy about this. I feel like my hormones are out of whack. I don't feel depressed. I'm so thrilled with my decision and my progress so far. I just all of a sudden feel grouchy all the time. My daughter called me mean last night. :(. Like a knife to the gut. That got me and we need to fix this. I'm so not mean!! Lol. What gives ?

Fat cells store hormones, so you are losing fat and releasing hormones. This too shall pass. Ask for patience and understanding and let everyone know you apologize in advance. ; )

same thing happened to me, and continues to happen every few weeks :-( It HAS to be hormone related. If I have to metabolize all the hormones that my fat has been storing for the past 40 years....

Yes I agree that it could be hormones, but with me it was also trying to find a new way to cope with stress. I was/am a stress eater. I stuff all my emotions and when the sleeve took that away from me, it was a HUGE adjustment. I was cranky and moody and confused. I am still learning and I am going to therapy to deal with the emotions. I have no words of wisdom except to remember to breathe! Hang in there! :)

It will pass, I agree it's the hormones from losing so fast. It gets easier when things feel more normal. Best wishes!
