When my grandson was 2 yrs old (2 yrs ago) my daughter had to run after him all the time. He was into everything as 2 year olds are.

She was so happy because she lost a lot of weight doing all this running around. she also had a 4 yr old and a 7 yr old. btw - these are the most beautiful and smartest grand-kids in the entire world

all the work you do as a parent, running around et al, helped her lose alot of weight., was great for her figure.

you are doing great by walking around so much now. ask your dr. when you can do more excersize, weights etc. - all dr. say different things. Just be patient when he tells you to go, have fun ^_^

best wishes

kathy

I have a similar fear due to having a 5 year old. We have a gym where I live but no daycare. They even brought Zumba and Yoga to our complex but still no daycare. It's frustrating, I know. I'm planning to rent arm and leg workout videos from Netflix so I can do that stuff at home. With summer coming, I plan to get out walking with my daughter riding her bike or walking with me. Good Luck. Any suggestions are welcomed!

Oh thanks I wish there was day care in the gym but thats a good idea ordeting ay netflix I will do. Hopefully I goes wrll for u.

I have Netfix....didn't realize they has workout videos. I need to check that out! Thanks!

I didn't know that either! What genre are they under I couldn't find them.

Put your child in a stroller and walk or put some music on and dance. What 2 year old doesn't like to act crazy and dance. That's all Zumba is. Plus it will tire him out and then you can both take naps. Lol my little ones love music and dancing around.

If you have cable, they usually have different workout programs available on demand. They will rotate but there's usually at least one cardio workout, fat burning, toning and yoga program available. Your kiddo(s) can do it with you! You'll get toned and they will learn healthy exercise habits.

Get yourself one of the large wheeled jogging strollers and make walking your daily exercise routine.

my 3 yr old son rides his bike when i walk we started with a block or 2 and worked him (and me!!) up to 2 to 2.5 miles a night works great that way i get to walk at a pace thats faster then a 3 yrs olds and he gets to ride his bike "super fast mom!" lol

My 3 y/o would just hold my hand while we walk she does not like to be to far from me. I had my surgery in December so walking outside in the snow was hard. So i use to just use my eliptical Just have fun with him.
