Im A May Sleever!

Anyone else going to have their sleeve in May? I'm excited and now the nervousness has set in. I am reading a few posts that people are in the hospital for like 3 days. My dr said I would only be in the hospital one day. And that I would walk the same day as my surgery.... Is this something they tell everyone or should I plan on more than one day there? Either way, my life changes May 16th and I'm excited :)

I know I read it on here....but has any new sleevers energy been ZAPPED??? I've been buzzing around here like no tomorrow, then today, bam! My legs weigh 1,000 pounds... :(

Shortypants...not that i can say i was running around here (i am in a wheelchair until i loose more weight due to back and knee issues) but with that said: Yesterday i could hardly get out of bed... Previous days, would walk the length of the house and back no problem...was pretty proud of myself...yesterday i could barely walk the length of the living room...it felt like i had cement shoes on....(that was the long story...lol) ... short story : yes..

Hope today is better for you...

My energy has been pretty low as well since I got home. I have also been having some dizzy spells, it sounds as though I need to get a little more protien and most likely more water. I hope everything is going well for you!

I was sleeved on May 15. I'm still in the hospital. I am having a very rough time. I have tons of gas and nausea. I have been vomiting since Tuesday going into Wednesday. I cried a few times wondering if this was the right choice. I feel awful and hope all the negatives will go away.

Honey Bee- take care. I promise you it gets better and you will not regret you decision. The best days if your recovery will be at home. Prayers and love going your way.

HoneyBee .... Hang in there....it gets better every day....sometimes every hour... Healing hugs sent your way!

Sorry you are having a rough time HoneyBee. It does get better & you have made a great decision!

Hi honeybee-

My husband was sleeved yesterday as well - and we r in hospital too tull Saturday- he had a rough night too dry heaves all night - he is resting now but the plan is to shower and start walking when he wakes- he doesn't seem to have any other pain from gas (which was what I was worried about) I think and the doctors agree that it's just a reaction to the anesthesia?

Wishing u a brighter day today- hang In there it does get better (I was sleeved 2 years ago and I too had issue with the nausea the day after surgery)

Sending a prayer up for u!

AWwwwww! honeybee!!! Feel better!!! Just get enough rest. Do what your body is telling you to do. And yes, you will feel better when you are in your own bed/home! Thinking of you!

Sleeved and now home. it went better than i thought. my secret today is wearing hgh wasted spanx underwear. it gives me great support and easier to move around. no problem with gas or keeping anything down...just tired

Well done & welcome to the loser's bench!

Wow, so many differences in the after surgery experiences. I hope I am lucky enough not to be too nauseous. Whatever it is, "this too shall pass"...it's only a few days. Surgery on Monday. I find out tomorrow what time. Hope they don't forget to call me :)
