Eating And Drinking Slowly

So I'm 3.5 weeks out and I'm still having weird feelings when I eat a bite of food. So how much time do you allow to pass between bites of food? Sips of liquid?

At 3.5 weeks, I think I was on blender foods. I would wait at least a minute between bites, because it's REALLY easy to overdo it. Try to weigh your food as often as you can. You need to get used to what 2, 4 and 6 oz. looks like. (for example) You should be aiming for no more than 4 oz. right now.

As for liquid, you can't exactly chug, but you should be able to take sips pretty close together by now. At least that was my experience.

(Disclaimer- Always take your docs advice if it is different than what we may say on here)

So i'm about 3 months out and still eat and drink slowly. At 3 weeks....have you started to "feel" the food move into your stomach yet? I forget when I started feeling that...but usually what I do is take a bit, see how it goes down and if it doesn't have any trouble, then I'm okay depending on what it is, cream of wheat I can eat with less angst...meat I have to take really slowly.
