It's post-op day 2 and I can't sit or lie still -- not nervous, but my legs are quite restless. Could this be from caffeine withdrawal? I drank up to 5 a day pre-op and hate anything with coffee in it. Already took Benadryl and Ambien, slept for a while but back up again. What's going on, and how can I stop it? Thanks!

Oh my. You didn't detox before surgery? Ouch. It could very well be. Keep track of your temperature and stay on the fluids. Try to walk. Other than that, caffeine withdrawal has to be waited out. :s

Yea usually during your pre-op diet you can detox it out with the 3 days. I'm back on the stuff but I did go through withdrawal headaches before and a little bit after surgery. Hope this gets better. You shouldn't drink any this soon after surgery wait a couple months you'll be totally detoxed but If you can't live with out the stuff it's better to wait until you are healed.
