I am worried about hair loss. What has been your experience with this? My surgery is scheduled for 3/28/12! :)

I had my surgery Dec. 21. 2011 and I started noticing that my edges were getting thin about 2 weeks ago. I just started using castor oil on them and it seems to be working. I'll really be able to tell after more use, but I think it's working.

I had really thick hair to begin with, and I was losing hair starting about 3 months. I would get handfuls of loose hair when I washed my hair. I spoke to my stylist about it.

Normally when she would cut my hair, she would also thin my hair. I stopped that after surgery. She recommended that I not wash my hair as frequently since that seemed to be the time when I lost the most.

I've been washing my hair about every other day. My hair loss has slowed down a lot. I am about 7 months out now.

Yikes! That's a lot of hair! Is there any vitamin or something I could take to prevent it?

My doctor had me taking biotin but I'm newly sleeved so I'm but sure if it helps but it is supposed to. Good luck
