  1. I am SO THRILLED!!!!! I just got off the scale and I weigh 298 lbs... NOT 300 something!!!!!! I am at my marriage weight, which by the way is 18 years ago this Sunday! I can hardly contain myself! I can't remember the last time I saw a weight UNDER 300 lbs. I am eternally grateful to this sleeve. With out it there would be NO WAY under heaven that I could loose weight. I am SO HAPPY!!!! Woot Woot! I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. What does this mean? In newbie speak, please.
  3. Hi Y'all! My poor husband kids are just rolling their eyes at me lately. I guess from their point of view it is silly, but to me it is Huge! I have Collarbones! I have Knees! I can get in and out of my shower door with out scraping myself through the small door! My Triple Chin is GONE! My wedding ring Falls Off! Okay, so the last one makes me nervous, I don't want to loose my ring, but, HELLO!!!! I am so excited with these new Non Scale Victories! I am really looking forward to this summer when we can go as a family to an amusement park and I can FIT on the rides! I haven't ridden any rides for almost 20 years because I couldn't fit. I am ready for this! Life is Great!!! What are your NSV's?
  4. Here I am with my family at 410 and now after a loss of 106 lbs. I still have a LONG way to go, but I am SO happy with the results. I feel SO much better and I am feeling pretty again.
  5. Good for you!!! Keep it up! It is SO hard, but SO worth it! I know exactly where you are coming from. I started at 410 and have lost 106, so far. You and I are basically the same as far as numbers go. It can be daunting to look at the over all picture, but when you think about it in 50 lb. increments it is easier to handle.
  6. Hi all! It has been a long time. I have been busy with life. I am now down 100 pounds. I am SO thrilled! I love the way I feel. I love the way I am starting to look. I love it all! I am so grateful for the sleeve. It has changed my life. I feel so blessed to have had the surgery. It is Amazing! I can't say enough good things about it. I LOVE it!

  8. Yes!! Yes!!! and YES!!!!! I would do it again! I wish I could have done it 20 years ago!!! I am SO blessed. I had my sleeve surgery on March 28th. I am currently down 88 pounds I feel better than I ever have and I am in clothes I haven't worn in 17 years! I LOVE having my sleeve! It is the best thing I have ever done for my body!!! I LOOOOVE IT! Good luck with your decision! Research it all you can. We can all tell you how great it is for us, but in the end it is what is best fro you and you alone. ((Hugs))
  9. I traveled from Springfield, MO to Minneapolis, MN in August. I am 5'4" and I was 340-ish and I only needed 1 seat AND I didn't need an seat belt extender!!! Happy Dance! Good Luck!
  10. I am SO happy! I just got home from my 6 month check up. I am down 88 POUNDS!!!! I am Thrilled! I absolutely LOVE my sleeve! Twelve pounds away from loosing 100 lbs.!! I have never been able to loose that much weight. Ever. I am so thankful fort he sleeve. This surgery is a life saver! I had a HUGE NSV last month. I have not been able to go to the grocery store with out using the electric scooter for over 2 years. Since last month I have been able to use a regular grocery cart and shop on my own sans kids for the help. I can't believe the change I have made. I can walk and shop again!!!!In August I had to go on an airplane. I DID NOT need a seat belt extender! Life is getting so much better! I feel so blessed! I only wish I could have done the surgery a decade (or more!) ago!
  11. I am 80 lbs. down!!! I LOVE my sleeve!
  12. Thanks dar1983! You are sweet!
  13. I am in! I am a week behind y'all! SW: 344 GW: 329 Haven't been that weight for 11 years! Good Luck Y'All!!! <3
  14. No. It will not stretch to it's pre-surgery size. The part that is left of the stomach doesn't stretch like that. That being said, it can stretch a bit, but not what it was. Just remember to STOP when you feel full.
  15. I think tonia86 means that lettuce is very fibrousy-is that a word?-and that if your sleeve is okay on salad then it should be okay with popcorn.
  16. I don't have a problem with popcorn at all. I have been able to eat anything I have tried. It's all about making healthy choices and moderation.
  17. I was sleeved 3/28. I have lost 62 lbs to date. that includes pre-op diet.I keep feeling like I am slow because I have stalls for a couple weeks, then I have a weight loss. Had my 3 mo check up. My surgeon said I am doing great, that I am right where he wants me. I love my sleeve! I LOOOOVE it!
  18. My Mom is the worst at this! I have lost 62 lbs in 3 months. She told me on the phone that it must be frustrating to "slow down". Slow Down!?! That is 20 Pound a Month! I said I am not one bit frustrated. That I am thrilled with my progress. That I think she thinks I should have lost 100 lbs. already. "No, I don't think that..." she says. Yeah, whatever. Her comments prove otherwise. I am not going to let her get to me. I am happy she is 1,400 miles away and I don't see her or have to deal with her every day. I am so thankful for this surgery. It is an amazing tool. I Love my sleeve. I think we need to IGNORE these people and get on with our lives! Keep up your great work!!!!
  19. YAY!!! That is So great! I am happy for you!
  20. Hi! I started this journey at 410. Yeah, I know 4 1 0!!! Crazy. I was sleeved 3/28. I am down 62 lbs. I am feeling SO much better. I am LOVING my sleeve. This has been a life changing decision. I am SO happy I had this done!
  21. Congrats on your weight loss! You are doing Amazing! I am just a couple weeks behind you. I was sleeved on 3/28 and I am down 62 lbs. It is hard- what we're going through, but it is SO worth it! You have a lot of fun to be looking forward too! Chin up and keep going!!!
  22. YAY YOU!!!!!!! What fun! I am SO happy for you! Congratulations!!!!!!!
  23. I am SO sorry! It is so hard waiting. It will happen for you. Just keep doing what the doctor says and I know it is hard, just be patient.
  24. The pre-op diet is for two reasons, imo, 1. Shrink your liver and 2. to help you with will power and getting in the right frame of mind for your lifestyle change. Think of NIKE and "Just Do It"! It is HARD, but it is ALL so worth it! I wish you the best!
