Strep Throat And A Cold

I was wondering how everyone deals with getting ill after having VSG surgery. I had strep throat last week and this week I have a cold. I do not feel like eating anything because my throat is hurting so much. I am drinking a ton of water and tea. The only thing is, in the past I have always put honey in my tea when I was sick. Has anyone had issues with honey? What do you do when you get sick? I feel so miserable :(

I'm sorry you're sick, that must be horrible. I have been pretty luck with staying welll since my sleeve. I did have a little allergy issue a wk or so ago, but it didn't last but a few days. I just drank a lot of warm fluids, but I didn't use honey. I use stevia in most everything to sweeten. I hope you feel better soon and I would check in with your Dr if you aren't better soon. Take Care!

:)

Maybe try your tea and then a honey and lemon cough drop.sorry you're sick

Im so sorry you're sick. strep sucks!! Have you tried popsicles? Sugar free popsicles would probably be good on your throat. Hope you feel better soon!
