I was sleeved on October 19. I am doing great for just 10 days post op. I am required to be on a liquid diet for two weeks after surgery. It is going well. For the past 3 days, I have been able to get in the recommend 60 grams of Protein in. I have a minimal amount of pain, no nausea, and was able to get a normal night's sleep last night! Life is good!

I was sleeved in Omaha.

I am so happy for you that it is going well. Be sure and keep me updated on your progress as I am going to be right at 3 weeks behind you. Gosh, I can't hardly believe that it is almost here!

he was my surgeon :-)

he was my surgeon :-)

Yay!!! He did an awesome job!!

Mine went well. Am down 25 lbs since oct 7th. The nutrition lady was pissy i didn't follow post op diet as I drank nesquick and moved to solid food so quickly ( like 4 days out). I also didn't follow pre op diet but they don't know that and doctor said I was one of the easist he ever did. I just made sure to be off food and drink 100% 12 hr prior to surgery. I have not told my family besides my wife and her family. Had lunch after church with my family and they were a bit suspicious I ate so light and slowly but not sure if they are suspicious or not. Have gone to the bar and night club a couple of times and it seems I got hit on more than normal. I feel really good but have learned what my max is as I vomit about 10 min after food if I eat too much. I normally eat chicken a lot now and toss the bun or wrap. I can eat about 2 snack wrap grilled chick at mc ds or bk and ate about 90% of just the middle of the chddr bacon onion grilled chicken the other day. Jack links beef jerky has lots of protien and have ate that as well. Keep some nuts in my desk at work as I get hungry quite quickly after lunch. I have heard hunger hormones go away but that is not the case with me. I feel hunger right in the belly so i know it is not in my head. Feel free to email questions but since I feel so good I don't log in much. Only concern is the cuts are still very red. Thought they would heal faster. Going on a cruise in June and had hoped i could go shirtless with no one to notice cuts. not sure that will be the case. Good luck Iowa people!!! go Cy:)

Update...Agsin I had surgery on Aug 17th with Dr. Alvarez in Mexico (didnt meet insurance req n d states so was self pay)..still think its d best decision eva....seems scary to go to Mexico but he was a very skilled surgeon...almost painless..back at work 5 days post op...walking a mile on treadmill 7 days post op...running since 30 days post op...was on liquids for 3 weeks post op...1 week of soft foods before moving to solids 5 weeks out...Have lost 46lbs...my only complaint is I still have to take laxatives to have a BM...but 46lbs n 6 sizes down...I can deal with it...lbvs..here is a progress pic a few pounds ago....
