  1. So, I'm sittitng her watching TV with my husband and I start to think, 'Man, I am so lucky. My life is so much better and I am so much happier." I owe this all to my weight loss. Things have been hard, but I am happier with who I am now so it seems like life is somehow easier. My Story: I was 25 and 260 pounds, I had 3 small children (9 months, 2yrs, and 4yrs old) and I was crazy unhappy. I went to an information session and everything seemed to fall into place from there. I did my 6 months of supervised diet by a Doctor, saw a psychologist, met with the nutritionist and went through many emotions in the process. Then surgery happened. I was sure I made the worse mistake when I woke up in recovery. I ate no more than 2 bites of Jello the entire time I was in the hospital, but I still hadn't lost any weight. What really upset me was that I wasn't losing weight AND I couldn't eat my favorite foods anymore. Yes, I was one of those people that somehow thought I was going to just wake up skinny. Totally unrealistic, but I thought it would be that easy. Boy, was I WRONG! When people say having surgery is the easy way out, they are full of crap. This has by far been one of the hardest things I have ever done. Skip ahead almost 2 years (Surgery date was Nov 13) and I am down 110 pounds (weighing in at 150). I am overly excited about how I look and how I feel. Yes there is saggy skin, but ya know what? It beats the hell out of being full of fat and not fitting into even the biggest of sweatpants. I will never forget the way that being bigger made me feel. And while I am still not where I want to be, I happy being me now. So, it was my plan to have one of those posts that is funny and everyone can relate to, but well its probably not. It is however, how I feel and what I went through (In VERY few words). I'm going to TRY to attach pictures.... we'll see if it works.
  2. It doesn't sound strange at all! In fact, I'm sure most people know exactly what you mean. I can't wait to read your success story Sheena! Good Luck!!!
  3. Thank you all so much! Dreamingofhealth, I love just being myself. Before I lost weight I felt I had dress a certain way too cover everything up. I felt like I couldn't say certain things, like, "I'm hungry." Now I can just be me and I dont worry or care about what other people think. It is amazing the about of confidence that losing weight has given me. I'm excited for all of those who are about to have surgery, because it's awesome!
  4. Thank you guys! It's been an interesting road!
  5. Maybe this is a little better?

    question for women

Maybe this was true before having it done laparoscopic, just because of the weakened abdominal muscles after such a large incision. I don't see it being a problem now though.
  7. No. "O" hasn't been hasn't been more intense nor has it happened quicker. However, getting there has been more fun. More positions because of more flexibility. Also, there more passion and less truffle shuffle.
  8. Or comment. Just observations.
  9. I agree. PDXman, since I don't have a penis- I don't really have an answer
  10. Hey- the post went 5 days before any woman commented on it. That's amazing- especially since we've all read it

    Weight watchers

I have BCBS of Minnesota. So u did use the on-line tools or not? If u reactivate your account then you can Access your past weights, but it costs to do that. I just called the 1-800 number and asked. I had gained about 50pounds since the last time I used weight watchers, but it still proved my fatness. lol Good luck!!!
  13. Do the RAWRRR!!!! Bostongeorge, you do look good! Who would have thought you could be hit on by so many ladies in one spot.

    Weight watchers

Yep I did. If u used the on line tools, they can get you a copy of your recorded weights. However, it is a process so be prepared for that. I would think if you attended meetings they would have a copy of your weights as well. My insurance company didn't have any problems with it.

Low Carb Slim Fast Versus Unjury?

During the liquid phase my NUT said it was ok to do Meal Replacement drinks (ie Slim Fast) but after week 3, I wasn't to have them anymore. Week 3 was when I introduced purée foods. Since then I've used unjury. I love the vanilla mixed with Starbucks caramel coffee. I also like the chocolate splendor mixed with milk. I think that slim fast is a lot higher in calories that just the Protein powder.
  19. Are you currently 3 months out? I know u mentioned a gain but I wasn't sure if u were still currently in month 3. Anyways, I am currently almost 3 months out and am so frustrated! I have been losing 2 pounds a week since week 3. I have been lacking water and protein, but I didn't think it would impact loss THAT much. I will have to try ur approach and up my intake and see how this week goes.
  20. So, my thighs constantly rub together and burn holes in my jeans. I was wondering for those who are post op- at what point did you notice your thighs stopped rubbing together? Is this even a reality or just a pipe dream? I am about 7 weeks post op and down about 30 pounds. But I have yet not notice any difference in rubbage.
