I had my surgery 10/11 and since the anesthesia completely wore off I have had the worst sore throat! I'm assuming it's from the breathing tube? If you had this how long did it last?

I had my surgery 9/8/11 and yes it will wear off. It took about 2 days after I came home from the hospital.

Yes that is the fault of the anesthesiolist. My mom has had many surgeries and she says that some anesthesiolist are better then others. Sometimes she has no sore throat. Other times it lasts for days. For me and my VSG it was one awful sore throat.

Sorry to hear you are having this, I've heard of others on the board mention this, but I didn't have any pain or discomfort in my throat. I hope it gets better for you soon!
