  1. Pre Surgery: 243 Surgery date: 09/08/11 Starting Weight 243 Current Weight 185 I have hit a stall this will be my second one I had one at 2 months. and another now. I have not really ate much. I am sure it is due to me not getting enough Protein and my 3 month post op is not until Jan. 18th, which will make me like 4 months and 10days out yest I am late on my post op visit. So problems I have had with the surgery are.....getting in protein and Vitamins..i despise them. I have started taking my vitamins though. Ok and HAIRLOSS!!! I have had thick hair all of my life and it's thinning so much. I lose alot of hair and I'm freaking out. that's the main reason I am taking my vitamins now lol. Esp Biotin!! I take 2 a day. And well Menstrual cycle..ok so I've always been very irregular due to PCOS and well I had a period right before surgery and then after surgery I bled a little bit for a week then didn't have another period till Thanksgiving day and I BLED until DEC.5!!! Heavy heavy heavy!!! Major clots..I went to see my GYn and everything had checked out ok but he want to do a D&C, look in my uterus with a camera and he wants to do a Endometrial ablation (Novasure) burns the lining of the uterus so I wont bleed anymore. Ok so I was off of my period for a week and I am now bleeding again!!! this is just crazy. I do regret my surgery at times but I love that I am losing so much weight I still have at least 50 more to go it's hard work still and the gym well i like going to workout but then I am so aggravated with having this period and feel gross working out while on it. anyhow well here's a pic of my progress
  2. Nothing bothers my stomach except for fish, for some odd reason i cannot handle fish. But other than that I can pretty much eat anything. But I know I do not get in enough calories or protein. I am very bad at not getting protein in. I do not drink shakes and I sort of hate meat. I know its bad and I have also not beein drinkin that much water. I dont know I feel sick at time because I know I am not eating enough and drinking but I just can't help it. If i have something to eat it's more like a few chips or a snack size candy bar. I am losing weight though but i know it's not healthy what I am doing to my body. I need help!!!! what should I do? I am at 196 as of today, I was 197.4 yesterday. My weight from the start of 9/8/11 was 243 I think I need to see my doctor because I just feel down lately.
  3. I understand the feeling. I was sleeved 9/8/11 and I went through similar things. Walk walk walk it helps relieve bloating and gas that is what is making you feel so full. The more you move around the more air comes out lol. Stay focused and positive and the discomfort will pass.
  4. Yes I can feel you on this!! I was addicted to Barq's Rootbeer and OMG I haven't had one since the week before my surgery which was 9/8/11. The odd thing was I did take a little sip of my daughter's rootbeer and it didn't taste the same to me. So I am not really missing it anymore. I do love ice cold water and tea. I try not to drink that much tea but water pretty much does it for me.
  5. I had my surgery 9/8/11 and yes it will wear off. It took about 2 days after I came home from the hospital.
  6. Hello...I can relate to you, my one month was On Oct. 8th and Total I have lost 30lbs, I started out at 243 before surgery I was 238 and I am currently 213 and I am at a stall. I am starting to get discouraged also but I know it takes time. I know also that I do not get in alot of calories and I feel a little sick at times from not enough nurtrition. It is so hard to get in good healthy foods I need and my vitamins. We have a long journey and struggle ahead but keep ur head up and things will get better.
  7. Ok, so I was SLeeved on 09/08/11. I am drinking maybe 2 protein shakes a day, I make them myself with the Body Fortress Super advanced WHEY protein powder, it's good but boring lol. Ok and I am just eating chicken broth, sugar free pudding and some babyfood and drinking lots of water. I haven't had really any kind of discomfort other than the soreness from the surgery. I did have gas and I still do but it's not a painful feeling. Anyhow, I just feel like I am not getting enough of what I need, but I have no desire to try anything else and well I have to be on this diet for another week and then I go on a soft puree diet. Also I had questions with the Calcium Citrate...did anyone find some good tasting chewables? as well as vitamin chewables? I have a hard time if they taste nasty. HELP!!!!
  8. Well I have United Healthcare also and yes they do require that but do you have any co morbidities? If you do then you will also qualify and 2 of the 5 years i was not over 40 either and I just got approved!!! \\
