Norman got a reaction from Lisa's Hope in Surgery In St. Louis?
That is what I thought about the bougie. I do have to say my insurance paid for it but it was not free. I had a lot of stuff I needed to do, 6 month diet, including copays and coinsurance. You should shop around. Call up St. Alexius and DePaul and Branes. If you are paying out of pocket and want to stay in St. Louis there are choices out there. Negotiate. They want your business. Offer to pay less. What can they do say no. I would see who offers the best price. Honestly the money I have saved on food in the last eight months is amazing. So there are some upsides when it comes to money.

that sucks. I am glad I got it done in the US. I went into the surgeon and two weeks for fear of a leak. It was great being able to drive 10 minutes and be at his office. He reassured me I was fine and now 12 weeks out have lost 75 pounds.
Hope everything works out and you have a full recovery.

Norman, I never said eat a baked potato. I said there is nothing wrong with a well balanced diet where servings are maintained........a serving being 1/2 cup which a sleever cannot consume anyway. The problem with obese people including me is that we have never maintained proper servings thus making us consume more calories than we burned.

By the way, I don't like people trying to ensue arguments by responding directly to the person making a comment instead of making a general comment. Again, none of us are doctors or nutritionists! We are only voicing opinions and have a right to our own without being bullied about it.

You have confirmed what I said. Why would you make a comment about a personal relationship when you don't know me?:noidea: Our opinions have NOTHING to do with my personal life and you have no business commenting on my personal life. I have not sought a personal relationship with you!! IGNORANT!!!!:frusty:

Well, this thread got a bit crazy, even though I already posted an update.
    #1. I'm a He
#2. I already did it, and had 0 problems, here is my status post re-iterated:
""I drank and had no problems... was drinking gin/tonics, screwdrivers and malibu/pineapples all night long - 2 nights a in a row.
I did try a shot of Patron, but only did half at first to test it out and because I cant take the whole shot at once anyways (i dont think, didnt want to chance pain), and that did burn my stomach a bit, so I didnt do the other half. But mixed drinks were just fine... ""

Once again....what a couple of clowns. I never thought for a minute a "she" wrote the original post. As for judging etc. someones morals, GDC "asked" for everyone's opinion by coming on here and annoucning his intentions. Who in their right mind gets this surgery to just turn around and start abusing it 2 weeks out? Give me a break......99% of the people on here are serious about losing weight and moving onto a healthier lifestyle. The other 1% are drinking and abusing alcohol 2 weeks out.
